Japanese Speak n Spell Ableton Live Set

Originally this Ableton set was created to aid myself in learning Japanese (Hiragana) characters. The samples and inspiration came from a little Japanese Speak n’ Spell (pictured above), which reminded me of Lives session view. So I replicated the original layout of the toy as close as I could in Live. No reason you couldn’t use this to learn Hiragana (like I have), but I think most of you would be more interested in the samples to make some tunes with.

The Japanese characters used on the Clip names will only show up as “?” marks if you don’t have the Japanese version of Live. Just go to the Ableton website and download the Japanese version… everything is still in English, but Japanese characters are supported which will display correctly in the clip names. Be sure to copy over your English manual if you do get rid of your old version.
